This course in Location Of Underground Services Operation is designed for experienced Location Of Underground Services operators to gain recognition by way of certification and to comply with The 2006 Construction Regulations.

Course Content
- Course Introduction. Liaison with others.
- Risk Assessment. Planning the work.
- Safe procedures and systems, preparing to dig, installation service.
- Safe digging techniques.
- Introduction to location & detection equipment – functional checks.
- Searching for services, pinpointing and trace underground services, clamping.
- Safe operation of Plant, Safe digging, accidental contact, Safety in Excavations
Requirements
- Valid Solas Safe Pass Card
- I.D (Passport or Driving Licence.)
- PPS Number
- Completed Candidate Pack
- 1 x Passport Photo
- Candidate must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E)
- Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or over
Certification: On successful completion of the Location of Underground Services Assessment candidates will be issued with a Solas CSCS card and a QQI certificate.
