An Agricultural Tractor Course is a hands-on training program designed to teach individuals how to safely operate, maneuver, and maintain tractors used in farming and land-based industries.

1. Health and Safety

• Legal responsibilities
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Safe working practices and hazard awareness

2. Machine Familiarisation

• Tractor controls and instrumentation
• Pre-use checks and daily maintenance
• Hitching/unhitching implements (3-point linkage and trailers)

3. Tractor Operation

• Starting, stopping, and safe maneuvering
• Operating on flat and sloping ground
• Driving with and without a trailer or mounted equipment

4. Attachments and Implements

• Safe use of PTO (Power Take-Off)
• Using front-end loaders (may be a separate module)
• Coupling hydraulic/electric systems

5. Practical Assessment

• Safety checks and setup
• Driving test (forward/reverse, slopes, tight spaces)
• Use of implements and trailer handling

On successful completion of this course candidates will receive a B Safe certificate valid for 3 years
